TargetedMessagePolicy

Enum TargetedMessagePolicy

Source
#[repr(u8)]
pub enum TargetedMessagePolicy { Transient = 0, Persisted = 1, }
Expand description

The policy to encrypt the targeted message with.

Variants§

§

Transient = 0

The delivery service won’t persist this message: it is delivered only to members who are connected at the time, and dropped for everyone else.

Note that this describes the delivery service rather than local storage. Decryption shares its epoch handling with Self::Persisted, so a message arriving ahead of the commit for its own epoch is still buffered locally.

§

Persisted = 1

May be persisted and buffered by the delivery service, and so will also be delivered to, and processed by, members who are currently offline.
